The staff and students from Glen Waverley had an amazing time at the AIMF – everything was so well organised and timed. We had a great balance of musical performances, exchanges, workshops and social time. We loved being able to see and support the other groups and our students grew so much as musicians and performers throughout the festival.

What an amazing experience!! For our Concert Band Students, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for them and we loved every minute of it. For students to be able to perform in our own Australian icon that is the Opera House was the initial highlight though everything on the tour become a highlight. Experiencing all those performance venues, performing on the different stages, each with their own unique acoustics and having access to behind the scenes/backstage is certainly memorable for all involved.

The overall experience was awesome, and the girls had such a fantastic time that we did not hear one word of complaint the whole trip!

Thank you all for the hard work and fantastic memories. You’ve done an amazing job for these young music lovers. Please keep doing this!?

The workshop with Colin was outstanding and was pitched exactly at the level the students and staff needed to improve and I was astounded how well the band responded to Colin and how much they improved in just one hour! That workshop inspired the students to play at their best at the Sydney Opera House (bucket list opportunity for students, staff, and parents).

I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you on behalf of myself, the staff and students who attended the Australian International Music Festival. We had a great time both culturally and musically whilst in Sydney. The band particularly enjoyed the band exchange and still talk about the fun they had.

The workshop with Andrew Eisenmann was an amazing experience for all, and it was great to see a real bond develop between our choir and one of the clinicians.

… your professionalism has been nothing less than exceptional. The event itself offered so much whether it be learning, meeting other students from all over the world or performances at world renown venues such as the Sydney Opera House. It is an event we would definitely be interested in participating again and will definitely recommend to others. We would also be interested in looking at other festivals you run in other parts of the world.

The Opera House performance was an absolute highlight and the girls got a real kick out of the whole opera house experience: they came off stage buzzing

It was a very successful tour! I heard very little complaining and many compliments, thanks for setting up the tour so well. Kudos have to go to you and your team to all your hours of diligence.
Phil Crumley.
World Projects obviously ‘gets it’ and you have really fined-tuned your product – this was particularly evident on the final night where the roving entertainer energised a very tired group of young people and then at the very age-appropriate Festival Party. It was great to work with you and I am sure we will be working together again in the future!

The one-on-one ensemble time with Colin Touchin was invaluable for the students. Colin had an excellent rapport with the students and brought his own unique flair to the workshop. Even for me as the director, I came away with some more tricks up my sleeve thanks to Colin’s inspirational teaching.
